Commission approves Oak Park Drive title fix
Springfield's Conservation Commission cleared a title defect on an Oak Park Drive property ahead of a Friday closing.
Conservation · Meeting of October 27, 2026
Springfield's Conservation Commission cleared a title defect on an Oak Park Drive property ahead of a Friday closing. Chair Christopher Collins and commissioners Peter J Alminas, Clarence Jones, Paul Bongiorni and Frank Ryan voted 5-0 to issue a partial certificate of compliance for parcel 34-11630, resolving a "cloud on your deed" left over from an old multi-lot subdivision filing. The applicant's representative said the sale was "supposed to be closing on Friday" and asked commissioners to sign the document in person before then.
Separately, city representative Theo Thiep told the commission a sewer crew had started work on a Jamaica Street easement without required advance notice, apologizing for the "oversight" and describing a pipelining method to rehabilitate the pipe with minimal disturbance to the wetland buffer zone. Staff member Adam flagged a silt-fence installation problem found during a site visit and asked to be notified before work resumes. No permit action was taken on the sewer item.
