Springfield License Board Approves Marriott Pledge
Other Committee · Meeting of August 26, 2026
Springfield's license board clears a hotel refinancing filing and a convenience-store manager swap in a 12-minute session. Commissioners D'Angelo, Ramirez, Zafranski and Cade voted 4-0 to add Coastal Bank as pledge holder on the liquor license held by Springfield Hospitality LLC, which does business as the Marriott Hotel, after general manager Mark told the board, "Under the former license, Coastal Bank was not listed." The same panel voted 4-0 to approve Sierra Lynn Acevedo as the new manager of record at an AMG Retail 1 LLC store, doing business as Urban, on Tapley Street, replacing Stacey Catherine Fortin. Acevedo, who said she works "55 hours" a week at the 24-hour store, told the board, "If anything happens and I'm not there, I drive there." The board also took no action on a withdrawn one-day beer and wine permit for a September 26 event, and approved its August 12 minutes with one commissioner recused.
