License Commission redoes votes after missing seconds
Other Committee · Meeting of September 23, 2026
Springfield License Commission redoes two unseconded votes in brief virtual meeting. The panel, chaired by Rosa, reapproved its August 26 minutes and a pledge of license and pledge of inventory for Springfield Hospitality LLC, doing business as a Marriott Hotel at 2 Bowling Way, after both items passed last month without a recorded second. Commissioner Cade ran the hotel-license revote after Rosa recused herself, saying "I was not present at that meeting." The item passed 3-0 with Commissioners D'Angelo Antonio, Sopransky and Cade voting yes, while Commissioner John was absent.
Cade asked whether "three enough" to proceed; a colleague confirmed three members meets quorum. Chair Rosa briefly lost her video connection mid-meeting and finished the session by phone. Paiju Patel was listed as manager of record for the hotel petitioner.
