Select Board · Meeting of March 17, 2026

Springfield's DPW said permanent pothole repairs would start next Monday. DPW Director Ignoli told the Sustainability and Environment Committee that three crews have used cold patch for about two and a half weeks, with "40, 50%" holding in wet weather, and that hot-mix asphalt becomes available next week. He said the city received about $5.019 million in Chapter 90 aid, supporting a roughly $6.5 million paving program headed to the council in April.

Pothole materials run about $30,000 to $40,000 from the regular budget. Ignoli said a winter excavation moratorium for utilities would lift Monday. Councilor Victor Davila asked for regular progress reports and planned a follow-up meeting in about four weeks.
