License Commission · Meeting of May 27, 2026

Springfield's License Commission continued a hearing on a shooting outside the bar Lamour to June 10 after flagging missing security-policy language and undisclosed surveillance footage. No representative for Ace Will Dewitt LLC, doing business as Lamour, appeared for the March 29 incident, in which a security guard was shot near Chestnut Street. Commission attorney Schmidt said "their security policy that they do have does require them to produce surveillance footage, and they did not." Separately, the board voted 4-0 to find no violation against Sarno Enterprises Inc., DBA X-Pub, over a March 27 parking-lot shooting, after manager Gennaro Sarno said his security staff intervened within seconds.

The board also approved, 4-0, the transfer of the Liquors 44 package store license at 1522 Boston Road to Keshava Corporation and a corporate restructuring for Family Pizzeria Europa on Summer Avenue.
