License Commission · Meeting of August 12, 2026

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield License Commission pushed two liquor-license matters to August 26 and took no action on a third. Commissioners voted 5-0 to take no action on West Indian Delight, Inc.'s bid to upgrade Talk of the Town Restaurant's license at 320 Wilbraham Road, after staff said the paperwork submitted did not match the requested change. The panel also continued, on 5-0 votes, an informational hearing on AMG Retail 1, LLC's Irving store at 11 Tapley Street, which has lacked an approved manager of record since Stacy Catherine Fortin departed, and a one-day beer and wine permit for a September 5 Farmer's House event.

Attorney Alexandra Hogan, representing AMG Retail, told commissioners acting manager Sierra Acevedo is "TIP certified" and has worked for the company since 2017. Commission counsel Attorney Schmidt warned the store that, absent an approved manager, any licensing issue would be "a real red flag," and said a completed change-of-manager application must arrive "by the end of the week" to be decided August 26.
