Springfield's Board of License Commissioners approved three used car dealer licenses contingent on special permits. LA Auto Sales and Services, AG Auto Group and DriveLand Motors each won 4-0 votes after snowstorms canceled City Council hearings and pushed their permits to April 13 at the earliest. LA Auto and AG Auto were first continued to April 22 before the board reversed course on seeing approval emails.
Attorney Josh Goldstein of Bacon Wilson said DriveLand's lot could display up to 50 vehicles. The board also renewed three seasonal retail licenses, approved a Class III license for Wilson Performance Shop at 11 Front Street, and closed the MVP Auto Sales pre-hearing matter without prejudice after no one appeared.
